Passmore Wins OCRS at Outlaw
Jamie Passmore took advantage of Mike Goodman's misfortune to win the OCRS A-feature at Outlaw Motor Speedway on Friday night. Goodman got the jump from the outside of the front row and was running away from Passmore and Danny Smith when a yellow flag flew. It was at that point during the yellow that Goodman came to a stop on the front stretch, ending his night. Passmore then went ahead to take the win although Danny Smith was gaining on him after getting through lapped cars. Smith went on to take 2nd place while Dean Drake, Matt Sherrell and Cody Cordell were also somewhere in the top 5. 23 cars were on hand while only 22 took the green flag for the feature as Nigel Calvert's motor went up in flames during his heat race. Passmore, Drake, and Rafe Essary were the heat race winners for the evening. Several new cars were on hand as Eddie Guinn and Loyd Clevenger came from the Oklahoma City area to run, and Sean McClelland ran his first 2-barrell race in a few years.
Full results and a better recap will be made available in the next day or so, and we will have pictures and video to go along with them. Also stay tuned as we will have the same with the wing/non-wing OCRS show at Creek County Speedway tomorrow night, weather permitting. Also this week we will have coverage from the ASCS Sooner Region action as well as weekly OKC and Meeker results as well.
Find OKsprints videos on YouTube!!!!!!!!! Plus, weekend preview
Video footage taken by Phillip can now be found on YouTube. So far I have posted 2 videos, which are the A-Feature from Outlaw on 4/18 and the first heat race the next night from Creek County on 4/19. Both were OCRS events. More videos will come, from both this year and previous years as well. Click the respective links above to be taken to those videos.
Eddie Guinn advises that he will run Outlaw Motor Speedway on Friday night and from there will choose whether to go to Lawton, Meeker, or Creek County the next night. Eddie's bad luck continued this past Saturday at Lawton as a fuel line came loose, ending his night prematurely. Luckily Guinn was not hurt.
Lots of money and points are up for grabs this weekend in OCRS action as 3 points races will occur in 2 days. First is Outlaw Motor Speedway on Friday night. I think that Jamie Passmore will take that one as he came close last time. Next comes the wing non-wing combo show at Creek County Speedway on Saturday night. I am going to predict that Mike Goodman will take the winged portion and Matt Sherrell will take the non-wing portion, with Sherrell taking home the top overall prize for the night.
In ASCS Sooner Region action, Kennedale Speedway and Cowtown Speedway are on tap. They are located just across the street from each other. I'll pick Brian McClelland at Kennedale Speedway and Kevin Ramey to win Cowtown Speedway.
OKC this weekend has double champ sprint features this weekend, in which I'll take Michelle Decker and Gary Owens to take the wins. In the super sprint feature, I'll pick Chris Burns, he is starting to turn it on here recently.
As for Brill Motor Speedway, I'll choose Jackie Green to take the win. In Lawton action, Robert Sellers should return to winning form.
Brett Thompson Wins CCSDavid Lee Lambert Wins Meeker
Brett Thompson took his first win of the season in a wild CCS weekend that saw Roy Larkin and Waylon Weaver get into a bit of a rift, resulting in both getting sent home for the night. Len Larkin got a season best 2nd place finish. Danny Smith, Mike Goodman Brent Bates, and Kevin Risley were all favorites who ended the night with issues. Ricky York, Brian Parker, and Jamie McDonald were the rest of the top 5, while the top 10 saw Frank Sudduth, Jackie York, Eric Pittman, Kevin Cummings, and Burt Davis.
David Lee Lambert won at Brill Motor Speedway this weekend over a 12 car field. Lambert took the win over Andy Shouse. Yes, the same Andy Shouse who runs ASCS and NCRA. It will be very interesting to see what will happen with Shouse if he has a 2-bar. motor. Will a few of these guys start making their way to the OCRS? Time will tell I guess, but Shouse and Danny Jennings have ran their own cars with 2-bar. motors so far this year, so that is something to watch out for. After Shouse the young guns at Meeker finished 3rd and 4th with Fred Mattox and 14 year old points leader Cody Metscher.
Chris Burns won the super sprint feature at OKC this past Friday night, full results will follow when they are updated on the OKC site.
This weekend will feature plenty of action around the area as champ sprint double features will occur at State Fair Speedway in OKC Friday night. The OCRS will also run Outlaw Motor Speedway this Friday night. Brill Motor Speedway has points racing action this Saturday while the OCRS will be at CCS for the wing-nonwing combo show. ASCS Sooner Region action will also occur at Kennedale Raceway on Friday and Cowtown Speedway on Saturday. Kennedale Raceway and Cowtown are right across the street from each other, I've been told, so that should be an easy tow for someone with camping abilities.
That is all for this short update, I plan on checking back in a little bit later this week with some more news, results, and other random thoughts. Also, don't forget to check out our sponsor, Liquid Designs, by clicking on the ad above.
Joe Wood Jr Wins Lawton: OKC rained outSmith Takes 3rd CCS Win
Joe Wood Jr. Took the win at Lawton Speedway and moved into 4th place in Sooner Region points after the victory. Wood started on the pole after Sheldon Barksdale jumped the start and was put back a row. Wood never trailed and worked his way through lapped traffic to secure the win. Zach Chappell put the #92 of Terry Henry into 2nd place while the 7M of Kevin Ramey was third. Points leader Brian McClelland, Andy Shouse, Justin Melton, Gary Taylor, Kerry McAllister, Eric Baldaccini, and Sean McClelland were the top 10 out of the 22 car field. The 45k of Kolt Walker, who sits 2nd in points, was credited with 22nd and is now 50 points behind Brian McClelland in the points chase. Gary Taylor is 3rd in points despite missing a couple of races in favor of running the National Tour races.
Friday night in OKC saw the features for both the ASCS Sooner Region and the champ sprints get rained out. The champ sprint feature will be made up on June 27(which happens to be the next OCRS race at Outlaw) while the ASCS feature will be made up on August 15th. I do not have heat race results for the champ sprints but the ASCS heat races were won by Nick Smith, Joe Wood Jr, and Danny Jennings. Kolt Walker won the B-feature. Matt Covington and Gary Taylor will start on the front row of the makeup feature while Sean McClelland and Danny Jennings will be in row 2. Trey Robb won the B-feature but was DQ'd for not reporting to the scales after the race. 27 cars were on hand.
Danny Smith took his 3rd CCS feature win in 6 starts at the track this past Saturday night and continued his current streak of good runs. Waylon Weaver picked up a season best 2nd place finish while points leader Roy Larkin finished 3rd. Here are the full A feature results from the past Saturday
Roy Larkin continues his points lead over Brent Bates, while Frank Sudduth, Jackie York, and Waylon Weaver round out the top 5 in CCS points.
Matt Sherrell won his 2nd A-feature at Brill Motor Speedway in Meeker this past weekend. A season high 19 cars were on hand although only 17 took the green flag in feature action. Jackie Green picked up the runner-up spot, with David Lee Lambert 3rd, Jeff Garnett 4th and 5th place going to Fred Mattox. Sherrell, Loyd Clevenger, and Eddie Guinn picked up heat race victories.
Speaking of Eddie Guinn, he is back in the driver's seat after burning his legs in the first points race of the year at State Fair Speedway. He is now running running OKC and Brill on most weekends, but you may be seeing him at some of the other tracks around here soon.
Cody Metscher is atop the Brill points so far, and even though the points have yet to be updated from this past Saturday, he should still be on top after his 6th place finish.
I would like to get some better reports from OKC and Lawton than I am able to give at this time. If someone doesn't mind giving me some info every week so I can work to make my OKC and Lawton reports better, please email Phillip via the contacts link above. Extra info on Brill Motor Speedway would also be helpful as I have yet to make it out there this year but am hoping to do so in the near future.
That is all for now, this upcoming weekend is fairly quiet as Lawton, Brill, and CCS all have regular points shows while the State Fair Speedway only has super sprints this Friday night. I'll check in if any breaking news occurs, hopefully everyone has invested in boats to get to the track this weekend.
Sean McClelland Wins Sooner Region Classic at CCS

Sean McClelland won Saturday night's ASCS Sooner Region event at Creek County Speedway in dramatic style. McClelland edged out Nick Smith on turn 4 coming to the checkered flag in what is probably one of the most impressive ASCS Sooner Region performances of all time. McClelland was running well in his heat but never could get around some of the other cars, causing him to get up a little too high and fall back to last or next to last in his heat race. Having to be in the B-feature, McClelland started in mid-pack but picked off cars one by one to win the 12 lap B. By winning the B-feature, McClelland started 17th in the A main. McClelland was a man on a mission in the feature and worked his way up to 5th by the halfway point. He had just claimed 4th from Zach Chappell when a caution flew. On the restart, McClelland managed to get around Jamie Passmore and Gary Taylor, who had been giving Nick Smith trouble for a good portion of the race. Another yellow flew with 5 to go, setting up a duel between Sean Mac and Smith. Smith held McClelland off until the last lap, but then there was another caution, setting up a green-white-checkered. McClelland tried to get around Smith on the restart, but was not able to. Finally on turn 4 Smith went low and McClelland took a chance up high, sending McClelland past Smith for the narrow win. Smith held on to 2nd, while Jamie Passmore, Zach Chappell, and Brian McClelland rounded out the top 5 unofficially. With the top 5 performance, Brian Mac took control of the Sooner Region points lead once again as Kolt Walker had spun out and restarted in the rear of the field near the end. There were 26 or 27 cars, but the racing was some of the best ASCS action I have seen at CCS. Danny Smith had put on a strong performance as well but spun out towards the end of the feature, sending him towards the back also. Danny Smith had to edge out Travis Jenkins at the checkered in the B-feature to get the last transfer spot. It was good to see a strong OCRS/CCS contingent there as Passmore, D. Smith, Jenkins, Rafe Essary, Roy Larkin, Frank Sudduth, Kenneth Walker, and Frank Sudduth all competed. Kevin Cummings car was also there but he did not take any green flag action. I am also proud to say that I am the first person to have a report from the ASCS CCS event, beating out even the ASCS website.
More will come in the next few days as I will have OKC and Meeker news/results, and Phil will check in with some pictures from the Sooner Region event at CCS as well sometime this week.
Goodman Whizzes Past OCRS field @ Ada; McClelland Wins Sooner Region Race at Little Rock
Update 6/4 (11:14 PM): Hello again everyone as you can see we have made some changes to the front of this website in order to accommodate our first ad on the website. We would like to welcome Liquid Designs to the website. Liquid Designs does vinyl and paint for race cars as well as helmets, street and show cars, truck, and more. Liquid Designs has done work on several micros that are out there and has also recently done the lettering on the wing of the Shane Pace #8 car and also did the work on Shane's newest helmet as well. So if you are needing any work done, racing related or not, give Liquid Designs a call and tell them you saw the ad here on the OKSprints website. If you would like to put an ad on the website, use the contact link in the contents and send an email to me, Phillip.
Now onto the news for the week. As previously mentioned, Mike Goodman won his first OCRS race this past Saturday. Guess all those 22 Sucks stickers did a really good job of firing Goodman up this week. If you are unfamiliar with the 22 Sucks stickers, Danny Smith has had one on the back of his wing all year long as a joke. Finally a few weeks ago he got a bunch made out and about half the field at West Siloam had them on their car somewhere. It's all in good fun, but Danny, those stickers on the back of the wing only work when Goodman is behind you. haha.
Since I was not at Ada to be able to get any specifics, here are the results:

I can also tell you that Evan Sewell was taken to the hospital due to burns suffered when the engine caught fire in his heat race. Sewell has been released from the hospital and has some burns on his neck but is others OK, which is great news because fires are scary and it could have been so much worse considering. Strike Hill also took a pretty good tumble in his heat race.
In OKC news, Whit Gastineau won the super sprints and Robert Sellers took the win in the champ sprints. Speaking of Sellers, he is on a 2 week suspension at Lawton Speedway for a fight with another driver this past Saturday. Jackie Green took the checkered flag at Meeker this past Saturday as well.
Once again this Saturday the ASCS Sooner Region will make the first stop at CCS for the year. Tickets are $10 for the grandstands. My pick is going to be the 1 of Sean McClelland, who is back to driving his own car after turning some wrenches and driving Aaron Berryhill's car for a couple of races earlier in the year. Sean picked up a couple of top 5s in his last action at Boyd Speedway and Cowtown Speedway. He did miss the last race in Little Rock this past weekend, which was on by brother Brian. Between Sean and Brian, there is a very good chance that a McClelland will be in winner's circle this Saturday. Other local drivers taking in the Sooner Region this year include Matt Covington and Sherman Davis. Joe Wood Jr. will be at least 1 driver that will most likely come from OKC, and he is searching for a win as well. You also can't count out Kevin Ramey or Danny Jennings if either one of them shows up. Also, points leader Kolt Walker is wanting to put some more points between himself and Brian McClelland after his lead has shrunk to 3 points. Should be some good action out at the track this Saturday.
The next OCRS race is the 27th at Outlaw Motor Speedway, which will be followed by a race at CCS on the 28th.
Caught the Prelude to the Dream tonight, it was some good racing for late models and if you can catch the replay on Speed when it is on, I recommend that you do so, it is pretty fun to watch the Nascar guys take it to the dirt.
Sadly, we must end this update on a bad note. For those of you who haven't heard, Harold Leep Jr has passed away. Leep Jr. has been a staple in the OKC racing scene for many many years. He will definitely be missed by many people indeed.
Update 6/1 (3:55 PM): Mike Goodman picked up his first OCRS win of the season this past Saturday at Ada. Goodman triumphed over a 26 car field. Full results are not yet in, but the top 5 was unofficially Goodman, Jamie Passmore, Danny Smith, Danny Jennings, and Kenneth Walker
Brian McClelland won the ASCS Sooner Region event at Little Rock this past Saturday. 18 cars were on hand and most of those were from the Little Rock/Memphis area. Donnie Ray Crawford was 5th and Joe Wood Jr. was 6th. McClelland is now only 3 points behind Kolt Walker in the Sooner Region points chase. The next Sooner Region race is next Saturday, June 7th at Creek County Speedway.
A more detailed update will be forthcoming once the OCRS results come in. Also expect an update from OKC action, along with some Lawton and Meeker news as well.
Smith Takes OCRS Field at West Silaom Speedway
Update 5/25 (10:59 AM): Danny Smith passed the front row on the first lap and ran away with the OCRS feature last night. Smith conquered a 24 car field that saw Kenneth Walker, Jamie Passmore, Mike Goodman, and Matt Sherrell complete the top 5. The rest of the top 10 included Travis Jenkins, Jackie York, Brian Parker, Shane Pace, and Rafe Essary. The track was smooth and the top was starting to come back in the final laps, allowing Goodman to make it up to 4th from about 7th in a short amount of time. Only 2 yellows came out during the main event. First Waylon Weaver came to a stop backwards on the backstretch after some minor contact with another car. Even though the contact was minor it was enough to end Weaver's night. Then a few laps later Dean Drake spun out in turn 2 to bring out the caution and sending him to the tail of the field. Other than Weaver, the only other DNF was Evan Sewell, who pulled in to the infield during the middle portion of the race.
Nigel Calvert ran away with the B feature. Other B transfers were Tim Kent, Len Larkin, and Jamie McDonald. McDonald had a nice, new car on hand to make his first start of the season. Burt Davis and James Estes were also on hand for their first start of the season.
Just a note, but if you haven't noticed, it looks like Danny Smith has started a trend. His top wing has sported a "22 Sucks" sticker all year, but the 22 Sucks sticker has seemingly spread to half the cars out there recently. A little jealousy, perhaps?
The crowd at West Siloam was very good and was probably the biggest crowd the OCRS has been in front of this season. You could hear the crowd cheer very loudly from the pit stands when the sprints went into the 3-wide salute. I do believe the crowd and the overall friendliness of everyone at West Siloam helps make that one of the favorite OCRS stops for many of the drivers.
Not much other racing to report this weekend. Robert Sellers won for the millionth time at Lawton, while Michele Decker kept her streak at State Fair Speedway by winning the champ sprints there on Friday. Strike Hill got a victory in the super sprint division out there at SFS as well.
Look for pictures from the OCRS this weekend to be up sometime this week. No pictures will be available from Ada as Photo Phil will be out of town. However I will still be here so you can still expect a full report of all the action on the site sometime next week.

Danny Smith going for a ride OCRS 5/10 Roy Larkin and crew posing after his non-wing win 5/10
Update 5/20 (9:43 PM): Sorry this update is so late, I wasn't feeling so well last week. This week I've been behind trying to catch up on things. Pictures for the wing and non-wing OCRS at Creek are up on the pictures page of the site. Roy Larkin took home the big paycheck for that event thanks to a win in the non-wing portion of the show and a top 5 in the winged portion. Larkin holds down the #4 spot in the points behind Jamie Passmore, Matt Sherrell, and Mike Goodman. Passmore won the winged portion of the show but only was 9th in the non-wing after spinning out with a few laps to go. Danny Smith took a ride in the early wing portion of the show, but was back to make both features in impressive fashion. Cody Cordell was a man on a mission in the non-wing show as well. It was a very fun show to watch, although it made for a late night as the action was not over until the wee hours of the morning.
This weekend the OCRS will be at West Siloam Speedway for their first visit of the year. With Creek County not running sprints this weekend there should be a great car count, and there should be one or two guys from Meeker who will make the trip as well since Brill Motor Speedway will be off. For those who have never been to WSS, I would highly recommend fitting them into your plans as the track is very fun and there is usually a good amount of passing. We will see if the new wall in turns 1 and 2 will claim anyone who had previously just slid into nowhere. Good luck to all the drivers this weekend, be safe and have fun.
The ASCS Sooner and National tours are off this weekend. Last weekend's Sooner Region action saw Brian McClelland inch closer to the points lead with a win at Boyd Speedway. Gary Taylor added to his win count with a win at Cowtown. Sean McClelland ran in the top 5 both nights in his return in a familiar-looking #1. Kolt Walker is still the points leader at the moment.
That will be all for this update, mainly because I do not remember any other news to report. I will be back with an update from the OCRS show at WSS this weekend.

Update 5/7 (9:48 PM): Lots of news for this update so lets get started, sorry it took so long but keyboard woes have hampered me from getting this put on sooner. Congrats to Danny Smith and Roy Larkin for their recent wins at Creek County. Also, congrats go out to Jackie Green and Cody Metscher (sorry if I misspelled) on their wins at Meeker. In ASCS Sooner Region action, Gary Taylor held off Jamie Passmore for the win at Mid-America Speedway.
The OCRS will be having the first winged-nonwing challenge at Creek County Speedway on Saturday night. 2 complete point shows will be ran, one with wings, one without the wing. The total points overall will determine the overall winner, who will get $1700 for his effort. Anyone in the top 20 will make at least $400, and anyone who does not make the show will still get $125. This is a first for the series and for Creek County Speedway. With the purse being this large there are a lot of drivers who are tempted to run. Anyone is welcome to join in and try to get the money. Drivers must run the same car in both the winged and non-winged portion of the event in order to make it fair to all drivers. OCRS points will be given for both shows, while only the winged portion of the show will count towards CCS points. It should be a good night for all, so come on out and be a part of the show whether you are a racer or fan.
OCRS has also added a show for July 5th at Tri-State Speedway in Pocola, OK. This will mark the first time for the OCRS sprint cars at Pocola and will be the only time this year that any sprint cars will run at the track. ASCS and World of Outlaws have previously ran on the track.
Matt Sherrell ran 3rd at Meeker this past weekend and continues to look strong. Sherrell is 2nd in OCRS points at the moment and has become a championship contender in a hurry.
Donnie Ray Crawford is going to be the new driver for the ASCS Bobby Sparks #91. The car has been driver recently by Darren Stewart and Don Droud Jr. Droud had the ride but decided to run for the NCRA championship instead.
I know I am leaving out a lot of information from this update, but I will be back with more at a later time. You can expect a BIG update after the OCRS show on Saturday. Also check back next week for pictures from that OCRS event. It will be fun to see our local drivers in non-wing form.
Update 4/22 (10:14PM): This update is a little bit shorter than I thought it might be, but here it goes.
As previously mentioned, Kenneth Walker and Jamie Passmore won this past weekend's OCRS events. Passmore retains the points lead for the OCRS while Matt Sherrell moved into 2nd. Mike Goodman is 3rd, Travis Jenkins is 4th and Rafe Essary is 5th. Walker slipped out of the top 10 to 11th this weekend because he ran the ASCS National Race in Missouri.
Speaking of the ASCS National Tour race, Jason Johnson was the winner. Oklahoma drivers to make the A included Zach Chappell, who finished 3rd, Wayne Johnson(7th), Kenneth Walker (8th), Nick Smith (16th), and Gary Taylor (17th). Sean McClelland returned to ASCS action and was 6th in his B feature.
Johnny "Hotrod" Kent won his 2nd feature at Brill Motor Speedway this weekend. The win moves him back into 2nd in the points there, with James Fabian holding down the top spot at the moment.
Michele Decker won the champ sprints at OKC and Danny Jennings won the super sprints. There's always some good action at OKC and if you haven't been there, you should go soon.
Robert Sellers again continued his dominance at Lawton over a whopping 9 car field that included his son Shane Sellers.
This weekend the SMRS midgets gear up to open the season at Outlaw Motor Speedway on Friday and West Siloam Speedway on Saturday. It should be some great action and hopefully a good amount of cars will be in attendance. Go out and support these midgets as they are trying to rebuild midget racing here in the area. We have the Chili Bowl, so there's no reason we can't have regular midget racing here.
In ASCS2 action this past Sunday at CCS, Jerrod Wilson, Donnie Ray Crawford, and Bailey Dye were the feature winners.
Due to work this weekend I won't be able to attend any of the races, but I will be on here early next week with the updates from the weekend of action.
Passmore Conquers Creek OCRS Field
Update 4/20(12:46 AM): Jamie Passmore got around Travis Jenkins and didn't look back en route to his 2nd OCRS victory in the 3 OCRS events this season. 24 cars were on hand for the show and they did not disappoint the fans as there was plenty of action. My unofficial top 5 has Matt Sherrell beating out Jenkins for the runner up spot, with Jenkins taking 3rd, Rafe Essary in 4th and Shane Pace in 5th. The race between Sherrell and Jenkins was close so I may be mistaken as I am just going by what it looked like from my view. In other notes, Mike Goodman sustained damage in some contact with Danny Smith, ending the night for both drivers. Kenneth Walker went to the ASCS National race and finished 8th there, although it will drop him from his 3rd place spot in the OCRS standings. Waylon Weaver took a interesting flip that saw him land perfectly upside down. Nicholas Lucito lost one of his side panels of his wing due to the tangle with Weaver and Goodman also made some contact. Frank "the Tank" Sudduth and Pace were in a tight battle for position until a yellow came out. During the yellow, Sudduth left the track and did not return. In the B feature, there was some contact between Ricky York and Eric Pittman. Pittman flipped while the back end of the York machine was knocked down. They were fighting for the 2nd position at the time. Full results will come as they become official.
Walker Wins OCRS @ Outlaw
Update 4/19(12:30 PM): Kenneth Walker came away with his first victory of the season by winning the OCRS race at Outlaw Motor Speedway. The 24 car field was pretty much manhandled by Walker, 2nd place Jamie Passmore, and 3rd place Mike Goodman. I had previously reported that Goodman got 2nd but Passmore nipped him at the line. Matt Sharrell was 4th and Rafe Essary was 5th. There was one yellow on lap 25 of the 30 lap feature for the stopped car of Frank Sudduth. The B feature was won by Evan Sewell, who pulled into the infield during the A. Several cars had motor issues last night, as Gene Hastings motor blew up in smoke, while Zac Beeler, Brian Roberts, and Roy Larkin all had motor issues as well. Beeler was able to finish the feature however. Andrew Deal was the only car that flipped, which happened during a false start due to his brakes going out. Deal was alright, although the car was not so lucky. Hopefully it was not bad enough to keep him away from Creek County Saturday night, and hopefully some of the drivers with motor problems will be able to make it back out. I'll have some official results on the site Sunday. Until then, hope to see you at Creek County tomorrow night for the 3rd OCRS race of the season.
Smith, Taylor win Sooner Region; Goodman takes BMS
Update 4/13: A shorter than usual update for today as Creek County got rained out this past weekend. With that, we decided to take the weekend away from racing to get some projects done around this house.
Nick Smith won the Sooner Region race at Oklahoma City this past weekend. Travis Rilat took the 2nd place finish, while Garry Lee Meier and 07 Sooner Region champ Brian McClelland finished 3rd and 4th. Andy Shouse rounded out the top 5. Smith held off McClelland in the early going and then had to fight off Rilat and Meier en route to his first ASCS win of the season.
On Saturday night the Sooner Region took on Lawton Speedway and this time Gary Taylor took the win. Taylor, who had did a DNF at OKC the previous night, held off Travis Rilat until Rilat grazed the wall and spun out, ending his night with a flat tire. Taylor then had to fight off Garry Lee Meier to score the win. Meier, Eric Baldaccini, Jack Dover, and Danny Jennings rounded out the top 5. Taylor hopes that this is a sign of things to come and that hopefully his slow start to the season is now behind him.
After this weekend, Travis Rilat remains in control of the Sooner Region point standings. Kolt Walker, Garry Lee Meier, Brian McClelland, and Eric Baldaccini round out the top 5 for the Sooner Region points race at this moment in time.
Mike Goodman got his first win of the year in the David Stephenson #22 this weekend with a victory at Brill Motor Speedway. Goodman lapped up to the top 5. Speaking of the top 5, Tim Kent was 2nd, Danny Smith was 3rd, Kyle Cobb was 4th and Dustin Buntin was 5th. 19 cars were on hand, although Evan Sewell and Jackie Green did not take the feature. 3 Ford Focus midgets were on hand but only 2 of them saw competition. By the way, James Fabian is now the points leader out there at Meeker, for those who keep score.
This upcoming Friday and Saturday nights are full of action to choose from. The champ sprints are in action at OKC while the super sprints have the night off, meanwhile the OCRS makes its overdue return to Outlaw Motor Speedway in Muskogee. Eric Shannon will be on 97.1 the sports animal every Monday to talk about the action at Outlaw so hopefully he will mention the OCRS there. From there, Saturday action includes an OCRS race at Creek County as well as points action for the champ sprints at Brill Motor Speedway.
That's all for the update for this week, hopefully I will be back on later with some more news and notes. If not, see you Friday at Outlaw and Saturday at Creek, weather permitting.
Passmore Takes OCRS win, Rilat Prevails in Sooner Region Opener

April 7, 2008: Jamie Passmore won the Oil Capitol Racing Series opener at Creek County Speedway this past Saturday night over Mike Goodman and a field of 28 cars. Goodman held on for 2nd, with Roy Larkin, Kenneth Walker, and Matt Sherrell rounding out the top 5. Dean Drake Jr. was in the 4th spot but earned a DQ for what was said to be an illegal carburetor. Travis Jenkins and Rafe Essary led the field at the start but that was quickly changed as Essary took a flip in turn 1 on the opening lap of the race. Larkin was the hard charger of the night along with Walker, as they charged from 13th and 14th to finish 3rd and 4th, respectively. Earl McDoulett was charging to the front up to 3rd and tried to challenge Goodman for the runner up position, but then decided to spin out instead.

The aftermath of the Kevin Cummings flip that collected Gene Hastings
Hot laps were another point of interest as first the #97 of Kevin Cummings flipped in turns 3 and 4, ending his night early. Gene Hastings was also collected in the mishap but was back for his heat race. Then the rear axle on the #8 of Shane Pace broke during his hot lap session. He did not make it out in time for his original heat race, but since Cummings was a scratch for the night Pace was allowed to tag the back of the 4th heat race. Last week's CCS feature winner, Evan Sewell, had to come from the B to make the show. The crowd was fairly good for the event, even with the Nascar events in Texas as well as the Cowtown Sooner Region opener. The next OCRS event is Friday, April 18th at Outlaw Motor Speedway, followed on the 19th by another CCS show. The CCS show will be a regular winged show and will be the final CCS winged show for the OCRS before the much talked about wing/non-wing show.

This was the results of Shane Pace's broken axle after hot laps 4/5/08
41 cars signed into the pits for that Cowtown ASCS Sooner Region opener, and Travis Rilat took the win over 2007 Sooner Region champ Brian McClelland. McClelland finished 2nd to being the season on a high note. Apparently only 10 cars finished the feature and the DNFs included Kevin Ramey, which was the 2007 runner up and previous champion for the Sooner Region cars. Tulsa area drivers fared OK, with Matt Covington getting a 7th place run. Unfortunately for Sherman Davis, things were not as well for him, as he finished 9th in his B feature.
Eddie Middleton won the OKC champ sprints over a field of 23 cars that lacked Jamie Passmore, Mike Goodman, Danny Jennings, and Robert Sellers. Jennings has departed from his champ sprint ride to concentrate on his family owned super sprint, which is the Goodyear sponsored 61j. Michele Decker was 2nd, with Shane Sellers, Brian Bishop, and Frank Dittman wrapping up the top 5.
In the super sprint division, Michele Decker was the winner. Goodman was in this field but the car had fuel issues and he pulled off some 8 laps or so into the feature. The top 5 was rounded out with Lee Jennings, Chris Burns, Robert Sellers, and Strike Hill. Burns is the current points leader and Strike Hill is currently in 2nd, which could be a bit of a surprise to some who expected Danny Jennings, Larry Neighbors, Sellers, or someone like that to be giving burns a run for his money.
Loyd Clevenger took the win at Brill Motor Speedway this weekend over a 15 car field. Last weeks winner, Johnny Kent, had some problems and was credited with a 14th place finish. The 61 of Jackie Green is now your current point leader with a 2nd on the first week and a 7th place finish this past Saturday.
Finally, I would like to send my thoughts and prayers to Harli White and her family. Harli was very badly burned driving her micro this past weekend at I-44 Speedway. Several places will be passing the helmets to help this young girl this weekend. If you would like to send a card, you may send it to:

That's all for this week. Hopefully the tracks will have dried out enough to get busy this weekend. Bundle up if you are going out to CCS, or the ASCS Sooner Region at OKC or Lawton. It is going to be very chilly out there this weekend.
Weekend Preview: OCRS Opener and more
April 3, 2008: Well it is now Thursday and I promised a new update to the site before this weekend, so here it is.
The OCRS opener is this Saturday at Creek County Speedway and I am going to pick Jamie Passmore as the winner. The OCRS will fire off for it's busiest season in a few years and looks to have the potential to be the best season in the past few years as well. With Creek County giving the weekly sprints a break on the weeks that the OCRS is competing elsewhere, the CCS regulars will have an opportunity to go out and play if they wish. This means that a potential core group of 20 to 25 drivers could be possible, along with the other racers who hit and miss events. A full OCRS preview can be found below later in this update.
SFS fires off it's second points racing weekend this Friday night, with both the super and champ sprint classes running. Will Jamie Passmore be there to try to make it a 3 for 3 in the champ sprints? Will "The Villain" Larry Neighbors steal another super sprint win? Or maybe "Whizbang" Mike Goodman can race his way to a win in either of the classes. Can any of the other drivers who race in both classes perform a sweep of both divisions? The racing should be good, and for those of you who wonder about car counts, there were 31 champ sprints, and 25 super sprints last weekend, so there will be plenty of cars out there to watch. I am going to pick Goodman to win the champ sprints, and I will take Chris Burns to win the super sprint feature. They are two of the best drivers in the state and are very fun to watch.
Brill Motor Speedway will have their second points race this season on Saturday as well. Last week 14 champ sprints were on hand and "Hotrod" Johnny Kent took the feature in the familiar #55. With 2 time point champion Eddie Guinn out for a few weeks with burns suffered at Oklahoma City, a few key wins for a driver can help set the tone for a championship season at Brill. I have heard that the track is as good as ever, and that is a great sign for fans and racers who look for a place other than OKC, Lawton, or Creek County to race at on a weekly basis.
Would just like to note that it seems that Lawton Speedway is quickly becoming a forgotten track for many sprint car fans. Many racers have been turned away from Lawton due to the fact that many drivers have gotten too much stuff torn up there. Rumblings are that very few cars finished the feature out there last weekend.
Ok, now back to that OCRS preview that I mentioned. A schedule of 15 dates and 19 total races(due to 4 of the Creek County Races being combo shows, running a full winged and non-winged show) should keep the fans happy. Amazingly, there are the same amount of races on the OCRS schedule as there are the ASCS Sooner Region schedule this year, which is great for the drivers who race both classes, as they will have around 30 different chances to race for some good money. This year the OCRS will race at Creek County, West Siloam Speedway, Outlaw Motor Speedway, Ada Motorsports Park, and Enid motorsports park. With the potential for so many racers running the OCRS this year, here is a preview of my favorites for this year in the OCRS.
The Favorites:
Mike Goodman, driver of the David Stephenson #22: Goodman has won multiple championships and is always in contention to win a race. He has won on every level of competition he has been in, from the OCRS 2-barrell sprints all the way to the 410 sprints. He is also the defending OCRS champion, and so that alone should make him a favorite.
Jamie Passmore, GAP #4: Passmore seems to get faster every year, and this year is no exception. He has started off the year with 2 wins in the champ sprints in OKC, as well as a 3rd place finish in the CCS opener and he also made the A feature in the Friday ASCS National Tour race at OKC. Passmore won the OCRS title in 2006, which was shortened to 5 races that season.
Roy Larkin, Warrior Machine Shop #52: Roy is a good driver who has won championships at CCS, and would have won it again last year if it were not for a late season suspension. Given the amount of CCS races on the OCRS slate, this would have to make him a front runner. He has also proven to win at tracks such as Brill Motor Speedway, which would be comparable to West Siloam as far as raciness (though that is probably where the similarities stop). If Roy can return to the nearly impossible to beat form that he has at he beginning of last year at CCS, Larkin has the experience to pull it off.
Other Contenders:
Rafe Essary, #26: Mr. Essary finished the year last year #3 in the OCRS points. He knows how to win, and although he may not win as much as Passmore or Goodman, he knows how to keep in the top 5 and keep himself within striking distance.
Danny Smith, Same Day Auto 5$: Danny Smith can win on any given night, but his main issue is consistency. He might have a couple of wins in a row, but then he will follow it with a couple of DNFs. He has proven that he can be faster than anyone else, and he might give Goodman and Passmore a run if he can avoid those DNFs.
Kenneth Walker, Performance Parts and Fuel #2W: Walker can win on any given night, but as of now he plans on running the ASCS tour. If something changes in those plans, Walker has the experience and ability to be a threat for the OCRS crown.
Shane Pace, Pace Motorsports #8: Pace has won a championship at CCS and has won some features at CCS and Brill, but he is still waiting for his 1st OCRS triumph. He has come agonizingly close before, and he has the experience to keep consistent.
Andrew Deal, #15D: 2007 Rookie of the year in the OCRS, Deal has shown that he can run with the other top guys, even with a lack of experience.
Matt Sherrell, #35: Sherrell has the potential to win a couple of features and would be a threat if he runs the full schedule.
Other Top 10 Contenders:
Tim Kent, Kent Motorsports #79: If he runs the full OCRS slate, Kent is consistent enough that he should be able to score a few top 5s and find himself with a top 10 spot
Waylon Weaver, Weaver Bros Racing, CAT #22W: Weaver is another driver who can be consistent enough to make the top 10 if he were to run the whole schedule.
Johnny Kent, Kent Motorsports #55: Hotrod has ran well wherever he goes, but he has a tendency to crash. If he keeps it from getting upside down, he is fast enough to make the top 10 as well if he runs the OCRS tour.
Brian Roberts, Roberts Car Care 010: This is Roberts 3rd year in a sprint car. He has won features at Creek County and a West Silaom OCRS victory in his rookie year. Roberts has ran different race cars for a long time, and he can definitely make a good showing this year.
Ricky York, #11: Ricky has won at CCS and also has an OCRS win at West Siloam, coming in a rain-shortened event last year. He is a little on the inconsistent side, but he usually keeps his car in one piece and that is always the key to being in the top 10. If he runs the full OCRS, he should be able to make the top 10.
Other notables:
Chris Burns- Multi-time champion at SFS in OKC, also has been strong running with the OCRS in the past. Should be able to score a win at Ada or Enid, and may be able to win elsewhere he may show up.
Danny Jennings- If he runs at Ada or Enid, he can do well enough to win a feature.
Robert Sellers- If he pulls away from Lawton, he can find his way in victory lane at any time he wants.
Evan Sewell- Won last weeks CCS opener, might be a surprise this year in the OCRS. Rookie of the Year contender.
Brian Parker- The driver of the #20 had some trouble last week in the CCS opener, but he is new to sprints this year. He had a fast car and will improve as he adjusts to the sprint car to contend for Rookie of the Year.
Brent Bates- Last years champion at CCS, who knows what you'll get out of this racer each week.
Personally, I think that Mike Goodman will win the championship for the OCRS again. He has won so much over the past few years, some DNFs are probably the only thing that can stop him.
As one last note, I would like to mention an addition to the Drivers portion of the website. I have added a link to Waylon Weaver's website, designed by brother and crew chief Wesley Weaver. It is a pretty good site, so be sure to check it out.
That is all for this week, stay tuned as I should be back with news and results from the past weekend as soon as Saturday night after the races, or as late as sometime Monday. Have a safe weekend and lets go racing!

CCS Opener Winner Evan Sewell 3/29/08
Sewell Captures CCS Opener-Passmore, Neighbors take OKC
Update 3/29/08: Well a new winner did come through at Creek County on Saturday night as Evan Sewell took the win over a charging Mike Goodman. Sewell and Goodman got together after the checker in turn 1 and 2, causing Goodman's front end to get knocked down while Sewell's mount suffered no harm. Jamie Passmore, Jackie York, and Kenneth Walker rounded out the top 5. Roy Larkin, Matt Sherrell, Shane Pace, Dean Drake Jr, and Waylon Weaver all started with top 10 finishes. It was a fast night of racing as the track was great all night long. Hot laps got off to an eventful start as Roy Larkin crashed into the wall after something broke on his car, which had a fresh coat of paint for the new season. Several new drivers were on hand this week, including the #20 of Brian Parker and a new driver for the #97 which is now being driven by Kevin Cummings. Heat races were won by Dean Drake, Kenneth Walker, and Jackie York. It was a good first night overall and the show was over by 10:30, which was a really nice way to start a season.
OKC fired off it's regular season this past week and Jamie Passmore took his 2nd consecutive champ sprint feature to start the year. Fellow OCRS regular Mike Goodman was 2nd while the other Tulsa area racer Evan Sewell was 5th. Owens and Clevenger finished up 3rd and 4th, which rounded out the top 5. 31 champ sprints were on hand for the event.
Larry Neighbors took the win over 25 super sprints at OKC last night as well. Defending champ Chris Burns was 2nd, with Strike Hill starting the season on a strong 3rd place run. Whit Gastineau finished 4th and Mike Goodman finished 5th in his double duty.
I should check back in in a few days with more updates to the site, and we should also have some pics from this weekends action at Creek as well. Hopefully by then I will have more detailed results from OKC and Creek as well as some results from Brill as well. Until then, be safe and keep checking this site out, we appreciate it.
OKC Opener in the books: CCS, Brill To Open this weekend
Update 3/26/08: The sprint car racing season has now officially begun in Oklahoma with the recent 2 night ASCS National Tour Spring Nationals at OKC. Friday night the ASCS cars were with the pro stocks and mods. Danny Lasoski took that event over Garry Lee Meier, with Jason Johnson and Daryn Pittman also locking in to Saturdays finale. 52 cars were on hand on a very racy track that saw lots of action.
48 ASCS cars returned to the track the next night along with 24 champ sprints. Jason Johnson took the finale and inched closer to Gary Wright in the tight points battle that will surely last most of the season. Lasoski, Wright, Sam Hafertepe and Jason Sides were the top 5. Daryn Pittman was battling with Johnson for the first 12 laps but faded to 9th by the end of the race. Terry McCarl, Billy Alley, and Brian Brown were some of the bigger name drivers that did not make the feature. Sapulpa native Kenneth Walker made the feature both nights, albeit by provisional on Saturday. He finished 12th Friday and 15th Saturday.
In the champ sprint portion of the event Jamie Passmore took the lead on the first lap and never looked back on his way to an easy win. Tulsa area driver Mike Goodman came from the back of the feature thru the B due to heat race problems and finished 5th. Robert Sellers, Frank Dittman, and Gary Owens all chased Passmore but nobody could quite catch up to him. The 3rd Tulsa area driver Evan Sewell came from the B to finish 10th. The top 8 in the feature looked like a "who's who" in the champ sprint world as other drivers included Shane Sellers, Danny Jennings, and Chris Burns, who was in his #97 for this event. All classes will race this friday, including champ sprints and super sprints. Should be fun for those who can attend.
Creek County has ended it's 2 week test and tune with several more drivers on hand this past Saturday, including Brent Bates, Brian Roberts, Eric Pittman, and a few rookies to the sprint class, including the new #20 driven by Brian Parker. It is Parker's first venture into the sprint car world but he does have experience in some of the full body cars. I also found pictures of a Blue and yellow sprinter on the CCS and 3d-racing websites but have not found out who was driving that car. If anyone knows who that was, let me know, as I am always curious to find out these things. The CCS opener is this weekend and starts at 6 PM. hot laps begin at 5. Expect a healthy amount of cars on hand for the first race as a full CCS contingent should be there as well as some of the OCRS cars gearing up for the opener the next weekend.
Brill Motor Speedway opens this weekend with it's usual classes (including champ sprints) as well as the revived Ford Focus Midget series. It will be interesting to see how that turns out, as I'm not really sure what to expect for that this weekend. BMS is looking to improve upon the rising sprint car #'s this year though and the track is good enough that they have a good shot at getting some good cars this year.
This message was posted by Tom Sewell on the Tulsa Metro Board regarding the OCRS:
"The OCRS
kick off race is April 5th at Creek County Speedway, Races start at 6:00.
OCRS Draw/Drivers meeting will be at 4:30 before hot laps. OCRS requires a
raciever for all OCRS events. We have 10 left at $150.00. If you rent the
radios from OCRS $30 per night. The first night you have to purchase the
ear plugs.
FYI The next batch of radio will be more$$$$$.
We look forward to a our 16 race schedule with races at Creek County
Speedway, Outlaw Motor Speedway, West Siloam Speedway, Enid Speedway,
Oklahoma Sports Park ( ADA)
This year we have 4 very special combo shows at Creek County Speedway with
a full program of OCRS Winged cars the a full show of OCRS NON Winged
cars. The nights winner will be the overall highest point finisher of the
combined races. This special night pays $1700 for the combo winner.

It looks to be a very good year for the OCRS and I don't see a bad race all year this year for them, especially with CCS cooperating with the scheduling like they are. Could be the best year for the OCRS from a car count standpoint and a race # standpoint in a couple of years, which is good to see. The past few years for the OCRS were full of promise, but with the closing of Tulsa, and the Caney flop, things just never seemed to come together right.
Well I suppose I will end this post with a few predictions this weekend. I think Burns will take the supers in OKC while Goodman takes the champs. I think there will be a surprise winner at CCS this weekend (meaning it will be someone other than Goodman, Larkin, or Passmore). And I think we may see a new winner at Brill this weekend as well. I know the CCS and Brill picks are weak, but i'll have some real picks the next week when I have an idea of who is going to be racing where.
To everyone who races this weekend...be safe, hopefully things will go as smoothly as they did at OKC this past weekend. To all who watch the races this weekend....be safe, drink beer (or ice tea if that is what you wish), have a good time, and stop by and say hi if you'd like as i'll be roaming around at CCS this weekend.
Closing in On Season Openers
Update 3/4/08: March is now here and the season is inching closer, as the first playdays have begun. West Siloam Speedway held their annual car show and first playday this past weekend. There were no sprint cars on hand for the car show but the #81AU of Gavin Punch was getting everything worked out at the playday at WSS. Pictures of all the cars at playday can be found at the WSS website, www.wsspeedway.com. Their 2nd playday will be this upcoming weekend, March 8th, from 1pm to 5pm. The 81AU looks very similar to last year, but with a little more yellow added in.
Looking for a sneak peek of the David Stephenson #22 driven by Mike Goodman? Well, here it is.
If you have a myspace page there are several other drivers with previews of their 2008 cars on their pages, and some of them are looking pretty sharp.
Creek County Speedway's playdays are the 15th and 22nd. OKC State Fair Speedway has their first practice Sunday, March 16th and the ASCS National Tour upcoming on the 21st and 22nd. The 22nd will also have a champ sprint show. Playday for Outlaw Motor Speedway is this Saturday, March 8th from noon until dark. Mid-America Speedway has practices schedule for March 22nd and March 30th, which is a Sunday. Brill Motor Speedway has practice on March 15th and 22nd. So if you are a driver those are the days at the area tracks to test out your car, and if you are a fan, those are your first chances to scope out some of the cars this year.
I would like to say that I feel the new format for lining up the feature for the ASCS National Tour is a very good idea and seemed to work well in Florida. The top 8 drivers each draw their own starting number, so it is completely random. I like this idea even better than the OCRS form of drawing a pill, and then inverting that number of rows. I think it would make for some even better action if the OCRS were to consider making this switch. Just an idea to throw out there.
Now much else going on right now in the world of racing, as everyone is busy trying to finish their cars before the first race of the season. If you would like for me to post a picture of your car as I did for the #22 above, just email me or drop me a line on Myspace and I will do get it on here.
One last unrelated to racing note, the college basketball season is winding down and I have started a NCAA tournament bracket at cbssportsline.com. As of right now there are not any prizes, but if I get enough people gathered up, I might try to throw a small something together to up the ante, so to speak. Log On to www.cbssportsline.com, the bracket group is "TulsaGroup" and the password is "hello".
Welcome to the new OKSprints.com!
Update 2/24/08: Welcome to the New and Improved OKSprints.com website. With a new racing season about to begin, I decided it was time to give the site a bit of a makeover. Enough with the website, lets get to the real news.
Racing Season is upon us, and all the tracks and organizations are releasing their schedules. The ASCS Sooner Region has 18 events on tap, starting with an April 4th date at Heart O' Texas Speedway and ending October 4th at Mid-America Speedway. The Sooner Region will race at several local tracks, including Mid-America, Creek County, and State Fair Speedway.
The OCRS has 18 events as well on tap for the year, although 6 of those at this point are tentative as they are awaiting the final paperwork from Outlaw Motor Speedway. The OCRS kicks off April 5 at Creek County Speedway and will end the season October 25 at Enid Speedway Park. As mentioned, the OCRS is planning to make their way back to Outlaw this season, with the first race there tentatively set for April 18th. 4 of the races at Creek County Speedway are set to be "Combo" winged and non-winged shows, and I will give you my thoughts on that a little later in this column.
Creek County plans to start racing March 29th and will carry the season on through November 1st. The sprints will be off when the OCRS is running at another track, thus allowing drivers to run for points in both CCS and OCRS (major kudos for that decision). As mentioned, the OCRS has scheduled several races there (it is currently unknown if the OCRS races will count as point shows for CCS as well), along with some ASCS Sooner Region, ASCS National Tour, ASCS2 micros, SMRS midgets, and the TNT Sprint Bandits.
State Fair Speedway in Oklahoma City has released their schedule and will kick off the season with the ASCS National Tour on March 21. There will be some form of sprint cars at OKC every Friday night, whether it be Super sprints, Champ sprints, or ASCS sprints. As of now, May 9th is the only off night for the Champ sprints that will allow them to compete with the OCRS at Outlaw. The schedule for OKC looks pretty strong this year, with plenty of ASCS National Tour and ASCS Sooner Region races on tap, along with the return of the TNT Sprint bandits.
The SMRS midget schedule also gets stronger in this area this year, with the addition of shows at West Siloam, Creek County, Outlaw Motor Speedway, and Enid Motorsports Park in addition to the shows they have at Mid-America.
Brill Motor Speedway also has their schedule posted and along with the champ sprints there is the addition of the Oklahoma Ford Focus Midgets on a semi-regular basis. The Oklahoma Focus midgets series has been taken over by a new owner and they are basically starting from scratch. The pay scale is not known for the series yet, and they are allowing any midgets to run with them while they are starting out. Between the SMRS and Focus Midgets, the midget racing scene around here seems to be quite a bit brighter than it has been in a long time.
A quick note before I go into my commentary. Our condolences go to the Hillenburg family for the loss of Andy's dad, Junior Hillenburg.
I am personally very interested in how the "combo" OCRS shows will be played out at CCS. They will first run a full winged program, then take the wings off and run another full show of heats and features. The person who has the highest combined finish will take home a total of $1700. I think these shows will be a lot of fun as long as they are ran correctly. It will be tough to have a full winged sprint car show, then take the wings off, change everything on the cars, then have a full non-winged show all in the same night, and keep the fans happy without waiting 3 hours between shows. But, overall, I think it will be some of the best racing all year. Just because you might not have ran the best race in the winged show, you have another chance to redeem yourself and take home some serious dough. I would like to know how these will tie into the points. Will both shows count as OCRS and CCS points, or just OCRS points, or will one show be OCRS and one show be CCS? That might help a racer decide whether he wants to run both races or not. Also, there are going to be some very tired drivers out there on some of the weekends because they will have driven 3 races in 2 nights, with Outlaw being on Friday night and then the Creek double on Saturday.
I am also very happy to see that CCS has agreed to let the sprints off on the nights that the OCRS is running at another track. This will no doubt increase the car counts for both OCRS and CCS since guys can run for points in both without conflict. This is a very good way to help try to grow the number of sprints around here, which is something that is much needed. Things are looking up for the sprint cars in this area at last.
In other news and notes, Mike Goodman will continue to drive the David Stephenson car for the OCRS races and will also continue in the Pickard car down in OKC on Friday nights. Thanks to Scott for the info on that.
OKC is now allowing the ASCS right rear tire on both classes there. I'm not sure how much of a difference it will make in reality, but most of the OKC drivers seem to be making the change to that tire.
Muskogee Thunderbird Speedway will NOT be opening in April as first reported due to a conflict over the grandstands. However, the current plan is to get all that squared away and the track is hoping to reopen later in the year.
There have also been updates made to the Drivers page, with more updates to be made to the different pages on the site as necessary.
The Classifieds section is no re-opened. If you have something for sale or trade, or if you are looking to buy something, send one of us a message and we'll post it in the classified section for you.
