Lawton Speedway has released its 2010 schedule and there are several surprises. First, the OCRS has been scheduled for a couple of dates. Promoter Lanny Edwards had previously said he would never run the OCRS at one of his tracks, but apparently he has decided otherwise. Lawton also has some ASCS Midget shows on tap, which is the first track that I have seen sign the new midget series up for some shows. Overall the schedule is pretty solid and Lawton may have its best year yet, even with the lack of an ASCS National Tour show or a Sprint Bandit show.

New Features to the website

With the new version of the website here, I would like to talk about some of the new features I am introducing to the website. First, there are now some polls to take on the left side of the screen. Please participate in those as the first few will give me some feedback as to where to take the website from here. After I get the feedback I am looking for I will put some racing-related polls up for entertainment purposes.

Also on the left side of the website I am adding a "upcoming weekend of events" that will highlight the upcoming weekend of action. I will also have a "who won?" section below that which will highlight the winners from the previous weekend of action.

The new website requires the use of Flash, but never fear, if you are browsing our site from your phone or some other device that does not use flash, feel free to click on the link at the top of the page to go to the older version of the website.

The 2010 Schedule first edition has been added to the "Schedule" portion of the site. The printable version looks pretty good. It is currently 6 pages long. I will include Brill Motor Speedway and any other schedules when they are released.

Drivers now is the time to email us with your 2010 plans for us to include on the 2010 drivers page. The season is getting closer and everyone would like to know what you are doing this year. A couple of drivers have emailed their plans to us and we will put those on the website soon.

Also feel free to send in info to be put on the classifieds section of the site. That section has not been often utilized but we would like to make it a bigger portion of the website. This is a free service to the drivers to post what they are looking to buy or sell.
